Esri Allbritten has so much great advice we couldn’t bear to cram it all into one interview! She’s written paranormal romance novels, freelance articles and now she’s working on a series of mystery novels. Her latest book, Chihuahua of the Baskervilles, is a spunky, humorous tale about a team of two writers and one photographer who help solve a mystery when a Manitou Springs, CO woman begins seeing and hearing what appears to be her dead dog, Petey, in her back yard. The team arrive to cover the story for a magazine about the supernatural, but soon find themselves in the midst of a much more sinister plot.
In the first part of her interview, Esri tells us what it’s like to write a murder mystery, and explains why she prefers to write mystery over romance, and talks about bringing characters from one story to another in her series. She tells us about different approaches she’s experimented with in her writing process, gives some great self-publishing advice, and shares how hiring an agent has changed her career for the better.
Stay tuned for part 2 of Esri’s interview, and in the meantime you can read more about her at her blog, and check out her books on Amazon.com:

Mercy, but I talk a lot. Will try to let you get a word in edgewise when we talk again.
Nonsense! The way I see it, it’s an interview, and the point is for you to talk
.
Can’t wait for Part 2!
